[Supernatural] [Mystery] [National Fate] [No System]
The entire world synchronized, and a hundred nations entered the trial together.
A System called the “National Fate Trial” descended. One citizen was randomly selected from each country and sent into an independent supernatural instance. If the participants survived, their country's national fate would rise. If they were all wiped out, it would decline.
There were no rules, no mission instructions, and no hints of any kind.
The person selected from Dragon Country was Lin Yan, an eighteen-year-old boy who had just finished his college entrance exams.
Along with participants from five other countries, he fell into an isolated village sealed in by mountains. The only intact building in the village was a century-old opera stage. Red curtains hung down, black paint peeled away, and thirty-six blurry figures sat on thirty-six benches. At the center of the stage, a performer in red sat with her eyes closed, singing softly without a sound.
There were no ghosts chasing people and no sudden jump scares.
Yet on the first night, five of the six people died.
One person sat on a bench, and his blood evaporated. Another stared at the performer's face for a few seconds and bled from every orifice. A third screamed in terror and turned to run, only to be trapped by time in the instant of death.
No one knew the rules. No one told them what they couldn't do.
Lin Yan did nothing. He survived.
But in the white light of completion, he saw the true story behind the stage: the century-old massacre at the opera troupe, the collapse of the ancient village's ancestral rules, and the truth about the National Fate Trial.
This wasn't a survival game. It was a trial delayed by a hundred years.
