The Lone Wolf of the Taihang Mountains

In 1942, war raged along the Zhengzhou–Taiyuan Railway.

Zhao Hengde, a reconnaissance hero of the Taihang Military District, wielded a goose-feather saber and faced the enemy alone with fearless courage, writing his own legend behind enemy lines.

He lay low deep in the Taihang Mountains, a “Lone Wolf” who struck fear into the Japanese, and an iron shield protecting his country and people.

He blew up troop trains, destroyed bridges, and raided strongholds, cutting off enemy supply lines with one surprise attack after another.

Venturing alone into enemy territory, he used the most incisive tactics to accomplish missions that seemed impossible.

There were no earth-shaking slogans, only the constant peril of walking on a knife’s edge and an unshakable faith in his country, etched into his very bones.

Behold the Lone Wolf of the Taihang Mountains: blade in hand and passion as his torch, he slays the jackals and protects our land!
