The Beautiful CEO and Her Bodyguard

During a midnight downpour in Jiangzhou, Lu Yumeng, the newly appointed president of the Lu Group, swiftly quashes the executives’ doubts. But just as she turns away, an anonymous threat letter draws her into a long-buried mystery involving the previous generation. A demand for repayment that names names, along with a charity foundation badge engraved with a lion and an old date, shatters the peace she had fought to secure for the group. It also deepens the suspicions surrounding her father’s sudden death and the foundation’s inexplicable dissolution.

Meanwhile, at a boxing club on the outskirts of the city, Liu Yunfei, a former special forces elite, is forced out of his secluded life when criminal police consultant Zhou Guoping comes to visit. The badge in the threat letter is closely connected to the old case of his detective father, who mysteriously died in a “traffic accident” ten years ago. Liu’s mission is to protect Lu Yumeng, a woman he has never met, under a covert identity at a charity gala.

The grudges of the previous generation, the secrets of the Lu family, and the unsolved case from ten years ago quietly intertwine in the Jiangzhou night. Holding the mystery in her hands, Lu Yumeng is determined to attend the gala and uncover the truth. Driven by an old obsession, Liu Yunfei conceals his strength as he protects his target. A shadowy battle between two people destined to meet is about to begin beneath the dazzling lights of the gala.
