The Taihang Yama

In 1945, along the Zhengtai Railway, everyone feared a single notice.

The white notice bore no words, only a blood-red seal. Once it arrived, someone would be dead before the night was out.

The man who posted them was named Zhao Hengde.

Armed with a gun and boundless courage, he ventured alone into enemy lairs, specializing in killing Japanese invaders and Chinese collaborators.

When the emperor’s nephew entered the Taihang Mountains, he dared to seize him aboard a train.

When the military police surrounded their headquarters with troops, he could still take a man’s head with a single gun.

The Japanese feared him, the people revered him, and the collaborators hated him.

In the Taihang Mountains, he was the King of Hell, a name that struck terror into the enemy.

In a land torn by war, he was the blade that defended the people and their homeland.

This battle was not for fame or fortune, but for the country and its land.

From orphan to legend, he upheld the Taihang Mountains with nothing but his flesh and blood!
