A Love Trap: Mr. Gu’s Battle for Her Heart

Su Wan, a business whiz at the height of her career, suffers a devastating setback. Her boyfriend of many years not only steals her core idea and defects to a rival company, but also uses a “life-reversal System” targeting her to lead her into becoming an outcast. At rock bottom, Su Wan rejects the System’s “comeback guide” and launches an independent investigation, relying on her own intelligence and resilience as she vows to expose the criminal enterprise behind it. Along the way, she meets Gu Shen, an investor whose identity is a mystery and whose morality is hard to pin down. Gu Shen approaches her in the name of partnership, but is secretly investigating the System’s creator for his own reasons. From testing and exploiting one another, the two gradually build trust and develop complicated feelings as they unravel a succession of business crimes, information crimes, and other mysteries. In the end, Su Wan not only ruins the traitors and dismantles the criminal System, but also, with Gu Shen’s secret help, achieves a double rebirth in her career and her life, while uncovering the tangled ultimate secret behind his approach to her.
