The Fierce Girl of the Eighties: I Went on a Rampage After Leaving the Army

Jiang Wanzhou, a special reconnaissance soldier, was forced to retire early after standing by her principles and defying her superior. She returned to the capital in the 1980s, a place that was both familiar and strange. Pressured by her family to marry, criticized by her neighbors, and unable to find work, the former “army rose” was at a loss. Then, in an unexpected incident, she stepped in to protect the weak and showed off her impressive skills in the street, taking down a gang of hooligans that had even stumped the police. This brought her to the attention of Xie Xunan, the capital's most mysterious black-market trader.

Xie Xunan, an illegitimate son of a wealthy family who moved in the gray areas of society, was ambitious to build his own business empire amid the tide of reform and opening up. He saw Jiang Wanzhou's extraordinary fighting skills, keen powers of observation, and unbreakable resolve, and invited her to work with him.

At first wary and resistant, Jiang Wanzhou gradually entered this business world full of opportunity and danger, driven by the need to survive and her own ideals. She used her military reconnaissance skills to help Xie Xunan avoid business traps and spot scams; her formidable combat ability to deal with dirty tricks and suppression from his rivals; and her deep-rooted sense of justice to steer him back onto the right path time and again, keeping him from losing himself to money and power.

Their relationship grew from one of mutual exploitation into a partnership between trusted comrades who fought side by side, until they became each other's only support. Together, they defeated a greedy state-factory director and swallowed up a deeply connected rival. Starting with the resale of digital watches and clothes, they gradually built an industrial empire of their own and, in that turbulent era, wrote a legend of their own.
