What Kind of Broken Mechanic Is This?!

Transmigration, horror, gore, battles, role-playing, masterminds, urban legends, absurd comedy, the Myriad Worlds. This is a new novel I decided to write on a sudden flash of inspiration. I have no idea how it’ll turn out. It’s all inspiration: I write whatever comes to mind and whatever I see. No AI, just me. The general idea behind this abstract world is as follows: the endless universe. The void.

First, there is nothing. Even the very concept of “nothing” seems redundant. No light, no points of reference, no up or down, and no measure of time passing. An absolute, pure nothingness that cannot even be called “darkness.”

Then a point of light appears.

A newborn world. A nascent consciousness, just kindled and crying to be fed. It has no limbs or organs, only the most primitive instinct: hunger. Hunger for information, longing for energy, an impulse to take everything apart, devour it, make it its own, and then ascend to a higher existence.

Just then, a powerful BGM sounds in its core. No one knows where the sound comes from, and no one ever said the void couldn’t have a theme song of its own. The beat pounds like a multitude of stars being born, the melody roars like a galaxy in motion. To the BGM only the orb of light can hear, it’s like a racing driver who’s just received the signal to start. Between the cracks in the worlds, it begins to speed off.

“So this is why you appeared?”

“Ah, of course not. I’m just here for fun.”
