Li Shimin Prays for Rain, and a Little Baby Crawls Out of a Divine Cauldron

[No romance] + [Child protagonist] + [Lucky Divine Maiden] + [Tang Dynasty ensemble cast] + [Lighthearted and heartwarming] + [Building and farming]

A double PhD in agricultural science and materials science opened her eyes and found herself transmigrated.

She hadn’t become a noblewoman from a great clan or a favored concubine in the imperial harem. Instead, she’d become a chubby, adorable little baby who had inexplicably appeared inside the bronze sacrificial cauldron at Emperor Taizong of Tang Li Shimin’s offering ceremony, sucking on her fingers and scrambling to climb out!

It was the Great Drought of Zhenguan. Locusts swarmed, and the land was barren for thousands of miles. Li Shimin knelt in despair, preparing to issue an imperial edict accepting responsibility for the disaster.

The incense in the cauldron made little Li Youyou sneeze. She accidentally waved her tiny hand

And rain poured down over Chang’an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty, beneath a clear blue sky!

The downpour washed every last locust away!

Li Shimin was overcome with joy, tears streaming down his face. “A divine maiden has descended from the heavens! She is an auspicious protector of our Tang Dynasty!”

No mother? Empress Zhangsun personally took off her outer garment to hold the baby!

No milk? Li Shimin canceled court for a day and personally went to find the best dairy goat in all of Chang’an!

From then on, the Taiji Palace’s atmosphere changed completely

Crown Prince Li Chengqian stopped rebelling and followed his little sister everywhere. “My sister is a celestial maiden from the highest heavens! Who dares make her cry?”

Prince Li Tai and Prince Li Ke stopped competing for the throne. They got into a bloody fight in the imperial gardens over who had the right to be their little sister’s “big horse.”

The court officials changed, too. Wei Zheng stopped criticizing the emperor and started writing memorials praising the princess every day. Cheng Yaojin gave up wielding his battle axe and began carving little wooden horses for her.

As for Li Youyou, she just wanted to be a lazy little baby who could eat her fill and wait for the end of the day.
