Please Bury Me by the Frozen Lake Baikal

Two male leads · angsty romance · substitute · tragic ending / happy alternate ending in the bonus chapters “Fu Beichen, if you see me again in your next life, will you recognize me at a glance and love me properly?” That was the last phone call Shen Heming made to him before falling off the cliff. But he thought it was a spam call and casually hung up. Ten years ago, while trying to survive on a deserted island, young Shen Heming saved a badly injured boy with wild fruit and fresh water. The boy said, “I’ll come back for you.” But he never did. Ten years later, Shen Heming became Fu Beichen’s secret, unseen substitute. He gave up a kidney, endured humiliation, and suffered every indignity for the man’s one true love. When Fu Beichen bought him clothes, he said, “Your eyes look like his.” When Fu Beichen kissed him, he said, “Xingmian, don’t be afraid.” When Fu Beichen pushed him onto the operating table, he said, “It’s part of your contractual obligations.” Shen Heming smiled and agreed to every demand, swallowing all his tears. He thought that if he was obedient enough, looked enough like him, and did everything he was told one day, Fu Beichen would look at him.
