Rule Horror: The Lone Wolf Player Goes on a Rampage

Qin Hao is someone who never fits in: he doesn't socialize, negotiate, or explain himself. His catchphrase is always, “I make the rules in my world.” In real life, his coworkers ostracize him and his boss pushes him around, until he is pulled into an infinite world built around strange rules.

Strangely enough, his solitary ways become his most powerful weapon in this world of rules. While others nervously obey the rules, he uses logic to turn them against themselves. While others band together to survive, he crushes every instance alone. Ranked number one among lone wolves and bearing the title of Lord of Rules, he seems born to be king.

But the price of being a lone wolf never fails to come due.

Because of his indifference, newcomers die horribly, teammates are left disabled, and his beloved Lin Wan is injured. He thinks he has won everything, only to lose everyone. Abandoned by all, hunted by the infinite world, and sent crashing down from the heights, he finally understands: if you aren't strong enough, you can't decide anything in this world.

After taking blow after bloody blow, the lone wolf who once kept everyone at arm's length begins to learn to trust, cooperate, and bend. His girlfriend Lin Wan, a psychological counselor who never leaves his side, is his only light.

This isn't just another power fantasy. It's a new definition of strength: once, strength meant needing no one; now, it means giving everyone a reason to follow you. When Qin Hao finally stands before the God of Rules, he says:

“I make the rules in my world, but my world belongs to all of us.”
