I'm Building Things in Ancient Times

Sikong Jianguan is a history graduate with no ambition. On an utterly ordinary night of overtime, a mysterious History Maintenance System selects him and kicks him into the chaotic final years of the Ming Dynasty. From the start, he's thrown into hellish difficulty: the seventeenth year of the Chongzhen era, with only one month left before Beijing falls. The System's very first mission is simply: "Survive." To stay alive, and for the faint hope of getting home, Sikong Jianguan has no choice but to use the little historical knowledge and modern thinking he has, joining forces with everyone he can in an age when human lives are worth less than grass. Starting with a tiny village on the verge of starvation, he gradually builds a paradise of his own. From the late Ming to the prosperous Tang, from chaos to peace, he is thrown into the currents of history time and again. He rows against the tide and uses his own hands to carve out a chance of survival for the innocent people who were supposed to perish in disaster. This is the story of an ordinary man struggling to survive in the cracks of history, and ultimately trying to change it.
