In the early days after liberation, a People’s Liberation Army bandit-suppression squad ventures deep into the loess highlands of Shaanxi. Working alongside local residents, they engage in fierce battles with the bandits entrenched in the mountains, ultimately wiping them out and bringing peace to the region.
