A fictional world resembling China at the end of the Warring States period: the Great Yan Dynasty. The dynasty appears powerful, but in truth it is beset by troubles at home and abroad. To the north, the mighty grassland tribes known as the Northern Di watch hungrily, while within the realm, princes, aristocratic clans, and other factions are deeply entrenched, with undercurrents swirling beneath the surface.
