When Inkstone Meets Shen Ci, Warm Meals for the Rest of Our Lives

Lin Yan, a modern private-kitchen chef, transmigrates to Qingxi Village in the Great Jing dynasty, where he becomes a frail, helpless orphan with nothing but four bare walls. Rather than complain about his lot, he uses his excellent cooking skills to gather wild vegetables and tend a few poor fields, carving out a place for himself with the warmth of home-cooked food. He meets Shen Ci, a reserved, cool-headed merchant's son, and what begins with quiet assistance grows into a partnership. The fragrance of vegetables from the fields and the savory aroma of braised dishes pave their path from farming to survive to establishing a successful trading house. Through food and heartfelt devotion, from the fields of Qingxi to the bustling streets, they tend their humble hearth, amass a fortune, and stay by each other's side for the rest of their lives.
