A Peaceful Life in the Mountains: From the Start, a Ferocious Panda Cub Is My National Treasure

After recovering from a serious illness, Shen Muzhi saw through the rat race in the city and returned to his old home deep in the mountains, hoping only for a peaceful life of picking chrysanthemums by the eastern hedge.

But one day, after a torrential downpour, he pulled a wild giant panda cub out of the mud.

He activated the Pastoral Pet System. All he had to do was livestream, and he could earn all kinds of god-tier skills!

And so the most healing, most down-to-earth livestream on the entire internet was born.

At dawn, he planted rice in terraced fields wreathed in mist while the panda, Tuantuan, supervised from the field ridge, munching on premium tender bamboo shoots.

In the afternoon, he fished beside a clear stream as his loyal yellow village dog, Dahuang, leaped into the water and surfaced with a four-pound grass carp in its mouth.

At dusk, he lit a bonfire beneath an old apricot tree. Shen Muzhi strummed his guitar and sang folk songs while a little squirrel curled up obediently in the crook of his shoulder.

To feed this picky bunch of adorable pets, Shen Muzhi went all out unlocking skills on his skill tree.

He made beggar’s chicken, brewed osmanthus wine, simmered peach blossom soup, and carved bamboo crafts...

The rich, homey warmth of his cooking healed not only the foxes, monkeys, and owls in the mountains, but also made millions of viewers drool through their 4K livestream screens.

“Watching the streamer make hot-and-sour noodles in the middle of the night, I’ve quietly swallowed for the third time.”

“I never knew that choosing a different way to live could really give you a fresh start.”

One house, two people, three meals a day, all four seasons, and a whole bunch of furry creatures. This is the life we long for!
