A Lament for the Fallen: Graceful as Green Bamboo

Set against the worlds of The Starving Lamb and The Lamenting Wild Geese, this story features Lin Pianpian as the sole heroine, doted on above all others. The male lead is the original character Mo Zhu, and the heroine is Lin Pianpian. This is not a Liang-Sui pairing, nor a Lamenting Wild Geese pairing. Fans of Liang-Sui and Lamenting Wild Geese pairings should read with caution. Man Sui's ending is left unseen. Liang will not die, and he will have little contact with Man Sui. Mo Zhu transmigrates into the chaotic late Ming with a Supermarket System. Every sale he completes unlocks a wealth of supplies, until the appearance of a special item begins to change his outlook. The lively and spirited Lin Pianpian pushes open the door, bringing warmth to the little shop in a troubled age. The two spend every day together, their feelings quietly growing until they embrace and pledge themselves to each other beneath Luoyang's glowing lanterns. Later, after leaving Luoyang and crossing the river, Pianpian is fishing at the bow when she unexpectedly rescues the drowning, unconscious Man Sui. Man Sui is a dear friend to them both, with no Liang-Sui entanglement. In a chaotic age filled with suffering, all they wish for is to protect one green bamboo shoot and their beloved Pianpian, and to walk safely through it all together.
