Building an Underworld in a Parallel World

After workaholic Lin Mo dies suddenly from overwork, he transmigrates to a parallel world. At the brink of death, he awakens the Underworld-Building System and takes on the mission of rebuilding the Underworld and subduing ghosts. Starting with the first Underworld outpost in the basement of his rental apartment, he recruits spirits and suppresses vengeful ghosts, establishes the Dragon City City God’s Court, unlocks Black and White Impermanence and the Ten Yama Kings, and gradually assembles a complete Underworld system. He goes from confronting the Special Affairs Bureau to working closely with them, joining forces to repel waves of vengeful ghosts and invasions by Ghost Kings. He uncovers the secrets behind the ancient Underworld’s destruction and Chi You’s awakening, then gathers the Reincarnation Jade to restore the Six Paths of Reincarnation. When the netherworlds beyond this world and the supernatural forces of the West set their sights on his domain, he leads the Underworld’s armies to defend its rightful place and establishes the Chinese Underworld as the world’s central authority. In the end, he becomes the sovereign ruler of the Underworld across the Three Realms, bringing humans and spirits together in peace for generations to come, and writes a legend in the parallel world that begins with a workaholic and ends with the lord of the Underworld.
