Joining the Army as a Stepmom in the 1970s: The Childless Grim Reaper Is Crazy About Me

Top Michelin chef Su Tang opened her eyes to find she’d become the notorious “troublemaker” military wife on an island military base in the 1970s.

The original owner hated the island’s harsh conditions and caused one scene after another, even trying and failing to elope with a pretty young man.

All she left behind was a prickly stepson hungry as a wolf cub, and a divorce agreement from her stone-faced military officer husband.

Su Tang gazed at the top-quality seafood growing wild across the hills, her eyes shining.

How was this suffering? It was a free pantry stocked with premium ingredients!

Divorce? Not a chance! Her husband had a fantastic figure and handed over his allowance on time.

Aside from the rumor that he was “infertile,” he was the perfect provider.

No kids of her own? No problem. The little troublemaker she already had might be a handful, but with a good spatula, there was no brat she couldn’t win over.

With an iron wok and a little spiritual spring water, she served seafood feasts at every meal.

In less than three months, she turned the sallow, scrawny wolf cub into a plump little fan who worshipped her.

The people in the family compound, who had once regarded her as an enemy of the people, soon noticed something strange.

Su Tang had stopped making trouble, and the little rascal who used to cause chaos every day had turned well-behaved. And why did their home always smell so delicious?

Later, the famously cold and restrained military officer, who had sworn he’d never touch her,

pinned her against the stove, the corners of his eyes red and his voice low and husky. “Honey, how about another plate of garlic oysters? I need to eat well so I’ll have the strength to make a baby…”

Su Tang clutched her aching waist and gritted her teeth. “I thought you were supposed to be infertile! How did we end up with two kids in three years?!”
