I Took a Factory Job, Only to Find the Abstinent Plant Manager Was My Ex

[Period drama + second-chance romance + mutual firsts + one-on-one romance + career comeback]

To keep her urban household registration, Li Luo is forced to take someone else's place as a temporary worker at a state-owned cotton mill.

But when she opens the factory director's office door, the cold-faced man in the leather chair, wielding all the power, turns out to be the rough, unsophisticated ex she once jilted!

Back then, she thought he was poor. Now she has to serve him tea and call him “Director.”

The whole factory is waiting for Li Luo to make a fool of herself, convinced she won't last three days.

She thinks he'll take revenge on her, too. But when the factory faces bankruptcy after its export order at the Canton Fair is returned,

she takes a pair of scissors and a sewing machine, wows everyone with her visionary fashion designs, and lands a massive contract.

That night, the man corners her in a secluded spot in the fabric warehouse, his eyes bloodshot.

“You ran off without a word back then. Now that you're in my hands, where do you think you're going?”
