Adopted by Empress Ma, I Became a Beloved Cook

A modern master chef renowned for cooking state banquets wakes up to find he has transmigrated into the body of a three-and-a-half-year-old homeless beggar during the Hongwu era of the Ming dynasty.

From the start, he’s starving, and everything is falling apart!

Luckily, thanks to his god-tier cooking skills from his previous life, a bowl of rustic dough-drop soup made from ingredients he scavenged by the roadside leaves Empress Ma, who is traveling incognito, completely smitten.

From then on, the Zhu family dotes on a new little princess, who becomes the Ming dynasty’s guardian angel.

While other princesses learn music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, the adorable little princess drags over a stool and wields a wok.

The Crown Prince is weak and has no appetite? One bowl of her appetite-stimulating medicinal cuisine, and he wolfs down three bowls, stronger than ever!

The Prince of Yan is unruly? One meal of her secret-recipe barbecue, and the tough prince is happy to serve as her fire-tending assistant!

A severe drought in the north leaves the army short on provisions? Her invention of deep-fried instant noodles stuns the Ministry of War and earns her an unparalleled achievement!

Every day, Emperor Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang, worries about one thing above all: “The officials are all rushing over to mooch meals every day. What am I supposed to do when my daughter is exhausted?”

The princes all agree: “Father is right, so we’ll eat today’s hot pot first!”

Before anyone realizes it, this three-and-a-half-year-old little dumpling has used one enormous iron wok to cook up a golden age in which every nation comes to pay tribute to the Ming dynasty.
