My Grandma Is Seventy: She Wanders into a Military Base and Tears Apart a Fake Sweetheart

National banquet chef and master of traditional Chinese medicine Lin Su dies suddenly from overwork. When she opens her eyes again, she has become a cantankerous old woman in an army residential compound in the 1980s, someone everyone hates and even the dogs avoid.

Her daughter-in-law shows no respect, her grandchildren feel no affection, and she also inherits a long-dead husband and a mountain of debts.

Lin Su: “Thanks for the invite. This is a high-level game.”

Facing everyone’s doubts, she wields a wok spatula in one hand and silver needles in the other, determined to make a name for herself in the army compound.

Not enough food or clothes? No problem. Even wild greens and cornmeal buns can be made fit for a state banquet.

Difficult illnesses? Small potatoes. One dose of medicine and even the King of Hell will have to step aside.

A scheming little white lotus wants to pick a fight? When I was playing mind games, you were still playing in the mud.

But why is the gaze of that famously aloof, celibate army commander, the living King of Hell, Gu, growing more and more peculiar?

One day, Commander Gu corners her against a wall, the tips of his ears turning red. “Auntie Lin, could you… stop looking at me like that?”

Lin Su (thinking: This young man is quite something. Great physique, though Granny’s a bit too old for him): “Oh? What sort of look?”

Commander Gu: “The sort that looks like you’re about to strip me naked.”

Lin Su: “…” Young man, you sure know your stuff.

“Shocking! The army’s aloof, celibate commander blushes at an eighty-year-old woman”
