One Piece: Fishing for the Thousandfold Demon Blade from Nine to Five

Bai Ye transmigrates into the world of One Piece and is assigned to lead the base at the most chaotic place of all, the Sabaody Archipelago. There, he awakens the 9-to-5 Double System.

As long as he clocks in on time, slacks off at work, and never works overtime, he can fish for god-tier rewards from the Myriad Worlds!

"Ding! Congratulations, Host, for firmly refusing an Admiral's forced overtime! You have received: [Thousand-Armed Demon Blade] + [Top-Tier Advanced Armament Haki!]"

Guided by the principle that "as long as the pay is good enough, one day of slacking is one day well spent," Bai Ye becomes the most eccentric base commander in Sabaody.

Supernovas brawling in the streets?

Bai Ye checks his watch. "It's five o'clock. Lock up and go home! Whoever dares to wreck my front gate can pay for repainting it tomorrow!"

A Celestial Dragon gets beaten up and cries for help?

Bai Ye replies coldly, "There's one minute left until quitting time. Hold it in. A Celestial Dragon's life isn't more important than my time off."

Then one day, the reckless Worst Generation spills the fine liquor Bai Ye just bought after clocking out...

That night, the demon blade leaves its sheath, all attack and no defense!

A thousand fragments fill the sky, instantly shredding several Supernovas! The news reaches Marine Headquarters, sending the entire force into an uproar!

Sengoku weeps bitterly. "Please, Bai Ye, just work some overtime and go to the Paramount War! I'll even make you the next Fleet Admiral, how about that?!"

Bai Ye: "No overtime. That costs extra."
