[Journey to the West with a twist] [Scheming and strategy] [Lighthearted comedy] [A calculating protagonist] Tang Sheng transmigrates into a fortune-telling monk at Spirit Mountain and sees through the truth of Journey to the West at a glance. He promptly snatches the position of Tang Sanzang’s “backup”! He gathers Six-Eared Macaque, Yellow Wind Monster, Black Bear Spirit, and Red Boy into an exclusive “backup squad” and lays down one ironclad rule: We do the work, we enjoy the blessings, they take the punishment, and they take the blame! They turn the Eighty-One Tribulations into a “disaster,” wreck the official pilgrimage team, take the backups from understudies to stars, replace Tang Sanzang, and obtain the scriptures and Buddhahood!
