My Lawyer Ex-Wife Was Destined for Me

He spent ten years writing about domestic abuse survivors, only to be left speechless in court when a beautiful lawyer tore into him. It turns out she'd personally handled legal cases for every story he'd written.

Ye Xianglong, 29, is a top-tier star among domestic romance writers, known for emotionally charged stories about women seeking justice and suffering heartbreaking ordeals. He has millions of followers and earns tens of millions in royalties, but after an article of his gets the law wrong, he trends online as an author who knows nothing about the law.

Song Qianqian, 28, is a star attorney at a renowned law firm. She specializes in marriage, family, and labor rights cases, has never lost in court, and is cool-headed and composed in everyday life. Her colleagues call her “a walking legal-code robot.”

The two clash over a legal detail at an anti-domestic-violence charity lecture.

He says, “Punish them according to the law!”

She says, “That scene you wrote wouldn't hold up at all. Do you even know what Article 23 of the Anti-Domestic Violence Law says?”

He freezes for three seconds, then pulls out his phone to search.

She sighs and hands it back to him. “You've written stories about fighting for justice for ten years, and you still don't know the requirements for applying for a personal safety protection order.”

From then on, a writer and a lawyer go from trading barbs to working together, from working together to falling for each other, and from falling for each other to falling in love.

In each other's world, he understands every story she tells, and she records every case he wins.
