International Manor: Wu Di

On his first day back from military service, someone tried to extort protection money from him while he was running a street stall. He didn't fight back, because the time wasn't right yet. From the railway station to Nansantiao, from Nansantiao to all of Shijiazhuang. Steel mills, bathhouses, nightclubs: he took down one rival after another. Zhao Changhe fought him for ten years, then finally admitted defeat by the Hutuo River. Someone asked what gave him the right. He flicked the ash from his cigarette. “The rules here are mine to make.”
