My Fair Princess Reborn: This Time, Ertai Won't Give In

In his previous life, Ertai gave the woman he loved, Xiao Yanzi, to Fifth Prince Yongqi. He went far away to Tibet, only to hear that she had knelt in the pouring rain until her knees were ruined, then suffered a high fever in the Cold Palace with no one to care for her, and was eventually stripped of her status and left to wander in Dali. He knelt in the snow, fell gravely ill, and died with bitter regret. When he opened his eyes again, he had returned to the day Yongqi told him to “go to Tibet without worry.” This time, he would not back down. “Fifth Prince, I’ve given in to you about everything since we were children. Not this time.” He rejects the marriage in front of everyone and confesses his love before anyone else can. But when Xiao Yanzi asks him with red-rimmed eyes, “Why didn’t you tell me sooner in your last life?” He has no answer. Because he knows that even if he had told her, she wouldn’t have believed him in their previous life. In a nutshell: After dying of grief in his previous life, he is reborn on the day he gave Xiao Yanzi away. This time, he won’t let her go.
