Honor of Kings: From Office Drone to Esports God

By 2038, Honor of Kings has taken the world by storm and become a permanent fixture at the Olympics and World Championships. It is the most popular esports sport on the planet. After losing fifteen matches in a row, 30-year-old wage slave Lin Long transmigrates back to 2030, carrying eight years of regret with him.

At the time, China is suffering a shortage of esports talent, while the Korean team has already claimed the Grand Slam. With his body restored to that of an 18-year-old, Lin Long binds himself to an esports sports System. Starting with a campus tournament at Beidan University, he leads an amateur team on a stunning comeback.

When he makes a bid for the national team with an overwhelming advantage, he is turned away for being “self-taught, too old, and lacking potential.” Faced with prejudice and injustice, Lin Long refuses to bow his head. Instead, he competes as a free agent, leading the Dragon Team onto the international stage.

From Thailand to Nagoya to Dubai, they go from being doubted to being admired. With every victory, they prove that true strength doesn’t need to be defined.

A crushing defeat at the Paris Diamond League once sent him to rock bottom. But after being reborn, he gets revenge at home in Shanghai, beating a world-class team 3:2 to win the Diamond League. From being cast aside by the national team to becoming a world-class esports king, Lin Long proves to everyone that the pinnacle of esports isn’t about where you come from or how old you are. It’s about a passion and perseverance that never go out.
