The Badminton God’s Rise from Office Drone to Champion

Thirty-year-old office worker Lin Long becomes depressed and can’t sleep after watching China’s Shi Yuqi suffer a crushing defeat at the Paris Olympics. In the depths of his despair, a quantum entanglement sends him back to the summer of 2016, just after the college entrance exams. Bound to a “Sports System,” he begins his badminton journey at a freshman meet-and-greet for Beidan University’s badminton club.

From crushing the “Four Guardians” at the campus championship to defeating the field and taking the provincial games title; from winning every match at the national team trials only to be rejected as an outsider who was too old, to boldly going independent and winning back-to-back titles at the Thailand Super 100 and Japan Super 300 Opens, even sweeping national team regular Qiao Bin in straight sets, Lin Long proves with his racket that true talent doesn’t need the system’s approval.

Together with his best friend Xiao Longxia, Lin Long forms the “Beidan Twin Stars.” They go from the campus gym to the international stage, making one comeback after another and silencing their doubters. When the national team shuts its doors, they use their skill to smash open another path.

This is a story of conviction, passion, and fighting back. When the whole world says you can’t do it, answer with smash after smash and drive their doubts into the floor.
