Beacon of War: The Mad True Heiress Is a Female General

A battle-hardened female general from the Great Jing Dynasty transmigrates into the body of Shen Zhiyi, the “unhinged” true heiress of a modern tycoon family. From mountains of corpses to the white walls of a psychiatric hospital, the cage has changed, but the battlefield has not. Her family sees her as a stain that must be erased and joins forces to imprison her. “Potential for violent behavior; permanent isolation recommended” is the new charge against her on her medical report.

She smiles as she tears up the diagnosis, wielding military strategy as a blade and human hearts as pieces on a board. The moment hospital surveillance catches her ripping a door off its hinges with her bare hands is only the overture. When she returns to the Shen family home, her enemies include the once-delicate adopted daughter, her cold father, and her smiling stepmother. At the shareholders' meeting, she uses a bloodless strategy to seize back control and personally puts the adopted daughter who stole everything in her place. As the new head of the family kneels to present the seal of office, she brushes invisible blood from her fingertips and quietly asks, “Have you dealt with the person who evaluated my mental health back then?”

From the shadows, the man who once personally signed the order to confine her slowly bows, revealing a hunter's smile. “Item seventeen on your spoils list has been taken care of.” In his eyes glows the same bloodlust from the abyss that burns in hers.

From the power games of a wealthy family to international covert warfare, from financial battles to the brink of death, Shen Zhiyi intends to tear up far more than a single diagnosis. When the smoke of an old battlefield drifts into the splendor of the present, who is the bird in the cage, and who is the one moving the pieces? This is the oldest of wars, fought beneath the facade of modern civilization.
