I Really Don’t Want to Rebel, Your Majesty! Believe Me!

“Please, just kill me already! I only want to die and go home with a hundred billion in cash!”

Lu Changge, regent of Great Yuan, stands outside the Meridian Gate and curses out the entire court.

He’ll do anything to trigger the System’s “executed” condition.

He embezzles, but somehow makes the nation rich and strong. He appoints corrupt officials, who turn out to be political geniuses. He commits treason, and the enemy emperor sends a surrender petition that very night…

He even forms a personal guard made up entirely of villains, hoping they’ll assassinate him every day.

Instead

His strategist spends every day imagining his “unparalleled master plan” in his diary.

His great general spends every day figuring out how to force a yellow robe onto his shoulders.

The people across the land build ancestral shrines for him and call him a living Bodhisattva who saves the suffering!

Even the cold and stunning Empress has begun looking at him strangely.

Empress: “Your Majesty has taken the blame upon yourself to spare me the slander, even going so far as to ruin your own reputation. I can repay you only by giving myself to you!”

Lu Changge looks up at the sky and sighs. “I’m really not a loyal subject! Every last person under my command is a rebel plotting to overthrow the throne. Why won’t any of you believe me?!”
