Look Back, It's All Good

*First Entanglement, Embers Remain*: Synopsis

Jiang Liyun thought entering the Shen household would be the beginning of her salvation. Instead, it was the start of her descent into hell.

Burdened by her family’s debts and forced to live under someone else’s roof, she crossed paths with a man whose hatred was etched into his bones: Shen Zhiyan, the head of the Shen Group.

After his younger sister died a tragic death, he decided the Jiang family was to blame. His love became a cage, and the deep affection he cloaked in cruelty became her daily shackles.

A conspiracy quietly took shape, as the business rivals’ series of poisonous schemes pinned all the blame on Jiang Liyun and her father.

Overnight, the love and hatred of the past crumbled to ashes. His obsession drove him to imprison her, while her gentle heart died in despair.

To protect her life, he cruelly told the most heartless lie;

To survive, she struggled to keep the Jiang-Shen Hall running while pregnant. During several crises, Shen Zhiyan and her adoptive father, Lu Zhenting, came to her aid. After the baby was born, they named him Shen Shuheng. Shen Zhiyan and Lu Zhenting both believed the child was Shen Yanzhi’s. The real culprit was caught and the truth came to light, but it could never bring back that first spark of love. Shen Zhiyan kept hoping Jiang Liyun would come back to him. Would she?
