Redemption in the Earthquake

My new work is here! You’re welcome to read it on Tomato Novel. I hope you enjoy it. Your support keeps me writing, and I’ll do my best to tell every story well! When the earthquake struck, I was meeting friends at a café downtown, while my wife and daughter were trapped inside an apartment building I had designed. I had discovered serious structural safety issues in the building, but stayed silent because I was afraid of losing my job. Now it has collapsed in the earthquake, leaving my family on the brink of life and death, and me drowning in guilt and anguish.

I have to do something. I can’t just abandon my family, and I can’t let those unscrupulous construction companies get away with it. I decide to return to the ruins to look for evidence and expose the truth, even if it means putting myself in greater danger. In this race against time, I must not only save my family, but also win justice for the innocent victims.

This is a struggle against fate and a journey toward redemption. Amid the ruins, I will use my courage and determination to tell a story of love, responsibility, and hope.
