Bound to a System, I Become an Empress for the Ages

[Empress | Statecraft | Political Intrigue | Ensemble Cast and Bonds | Infrastructure and Reform]

After unexpectedly transmigrating to this world, Xiao Qingyue encounters the System, Xiao Bao. She decides to make the best of things, fighting her way through every obstacle until she becomes an empress whose name will echo through the ages.

She lightens taxes and labor burdens, reforms public attitudes, unifies the currency, and balances the interests of competing factions. She launches major infrastructure projects, improves farming, and establishes an oversight system, gradually healing the wounds left by years of chaos and ushering in an age of peace throughout the land.

The realm comes first; love comes second.

Xiao Qingyue: The realm is a game of Go. I am both the player moving the pieces and a piece on the board.

Su Jinnian: You love this realm, so I'll protect its vast lands for you.

Shen Chinan: If you want to protect the realm, I'll stand by your side. If you want to bring it down, I'll help you tear it apart.

Mu Changhong: Your Highness, you are my light.

Jiang Ren: Sister, I'll learn anything for you.

Qi Heng: Your Majesty can do whatever you like. I'll listen to you. I belong to you.

They walk side by side through it all: as sovereign and subjects, comrades-in-arms, companions, lovers, family, and people who would live and die for one another, holding hands and spending the rest of their lives together.

(Also known as The Imperial Strategy. The protagonist is clear-eyed, perceptive, decisive, and devoted to the realm. For the official pairing, read the story, hahaha! The romance may not take up much space, but it's a lot of fun. *^O^*)
