Su Zibei is the heroine of a female-oriented fantasy novel: she transmigrates, disguises herself as a man, rises from a nobody to greatness, is secretly the reincarnation of a powerful expert, has a powerful boyfriend, and eventually becomes the ruler of the world.
But after a certain bug appears, Su Zibei’s path to success starts getting strange. When she’s away and hostile forces raid her home, she expects to return and turn the tide. Instead, she finds her cousin, supposedly good for nothing but her beauty, standing with her foot on a leader’s face. Su Zibei realizes her cousin may be more than she seems. After that, whenever her home is raided, her cousin always deals with the trouble before she can. No matter how formidable the enemy, her cousin seems able to handle them all.
Su Li says, “If the Heavenly Dao weren’t against it, I could roll out a carpet of wool for your rise to greatness. You wouldn’t have to work your way up step by step.”
