Out of Sichuan! Brave Qin Warriors, Let Us Face the Nation’s Peril Together

I am Qin Xiaohan, a direct descendant of Ying Zheng and the tenth-generation descendant of Qin Liangyu.

Reborn in 1926, I become Liu Xiang's live-in son-in-law.

The whole city laughs at me for living off my wife. Huangpu Academy examiner He Yingqin sneers, “A live-in son-in-law thinks he's qualified to attend Huangpu?”

I boldly retort on the spot, “Huangpu isn't choosing me. I'm choosing Huangpu! Huangpu will become famous because of me!”

Everyone is stunned. Only Chiang Kai-shek lets me finish speaking.

No one knows that a Family Tree System has awakened within me. The Qin family's nine branches have been hidden along the frontiers for two thousand years. Killing enemies earns incense, and incense can be exchanged for anything: Hanyang rifles, German-trained divisions, military blueprints, even predictions of Japanese troop movements!

From then on, my family is bound to the fate of the nation.

At the Battle of Shanghai, I lead the Sichuan Army in using satchel charges to hold off Japanese tanks, going to our deaths as we sing “The Generals of the Three Armies Are Brave.”

At the Battle of Teng County, division commander Wang Mingzhang sends one last message: “Brother, I'm going now. Let us be brothers again in the next life.”

Beneath the flag of death, half a million men in straw sandals march out of Sichuan, vowing, “We will not return until the Japanese invaders are destroyed!”

From live-in son-in-law to commander-in-chief, from being looked down upon to making the Japanese army tremble at my name.

I exchange incense for equipment and fighter planes, leading my Qin brothers and Sichuan Army comrades to carve out a road to national revival through blood and fire!

On the day victory in the War of Resistance finally comes, I kneel before the Martyrs' Shrine and cry, “Brothers, we won!”

Stalwart Qin warriors, we face the nation's peril together. The nation's fate is my fate. As long as I live, the nation will not fall!
