You Are in the North, Where You Know My Cold

Prince Zhao Muchen, reborn, has cast off the naivete of his previous life and resolved to fight for the throne, using the bitterly cold north as his base while he bides his time and builds his strength.

Song Shiyu, who transmigrated into the body of a concubine-born daughter in Qingjiang Prefecture, Jiangnan, only wants to keep her head down and survive. But the great families' reputations for virtue echo through every alley, while dark currents and trouble swirl behind the inner gates.

Though thousands of miles apart, the two unexpectedly form a mysterious five-sense “sympathy.” From then on, when he drinks strong liquor in the northern frontier, her cheeks flush in Jiangnan. When she is made to kneel in the snow in the back courtyard, he feels the bone-deep cold in a warm room, and murderous intent rises within him.

One is a down-and-out prince facing a fight for the throne in which death is all but certain. The other is a concubine-born daughter confined to the inner household, asking only to escape the fate of being someone's pawn.

From then on, the souls of these two people, separated by a thousand miles, are forced to share each other's five senses and feel one another's joys and sorrows.
