My Fair Princess: After Being Reborn as Consort Xiang, I’ll Become Empress

After Hanxiang and Maierdan fled to Dali, they waited a long time, but Xiaoyanzi, Ziwei, and the others never came. So the two settled into a life of their own in Dali. At first, Maierdan treated Hanxiang very well, but as time went on, he started drinking. When drunk, he would beat her. One time, after getting drunk again, Maierdan shoved Hanxiang into the corner of a table. As she lay dying, Hanxiang finally saw Maierdan for what he truly was. She regretted everything. As she felt her body grow colder, her heart turned completely cold as well... When she opened her eyes again, she had returned to the moment after seeing Ali Hezhu off from the palace. Xiaoyanzi and Ziwei were waiting for her to find a Ningxiang Pill and save Maierdan’s life. Looking at the pill in her hand, she realized she had been reborn and promptly put it back. In this life, she wasn’t going to bother with that madman. She would stay far away from him and never suffer alongside him again. She would become the emperor’s woman, the most exalted woman in the realm. (The author really dislikes Maierdan, who flies into a rage over every little thing, and thinks he doesn’t deserve Hanxiang, so she wants to give her a better ending.)
