The Rise and Fall of Heaven’s Top-Tier Star

[Ensemble cast + no romance + immortal cultivation]

With the war between gods and demons imminent, the Heavenly Court detected that an ancient demon god possessed “single-target skill immunity,” meaning anyone who fought alone was doomed.

So five legendary powerhouses were forced into a team:

Sword Venerable Dugu Qiubai, who could cleave open the Gates of Heaven with a single sword strike, but suffered from severe social anxiety and was unbelievably bad with directions. He could get lost just going out to buy vegetables.

Immortal Sect strategist Zhuge Yue, who could plan for every eventuality, but was a terminal perfectionist. The moment her teammates got into a mess, she would faint on the spot.

Sun Simeng, Valley Master of Medicine King Valley, who could bring the dead back to life and regrow flesh on bones, but had a healer’s compulsive need to stick everyone with a couple of needles to “get them in balance.”

Vajra Lu Zhishen, indestructible and strong enough to move mountains, but a chatterbox and an overprotective older brother. He could annoy enemies into killing themselves.

Zhang Xuan, a talisman prodigy who could draw spirit-summoning charms at the age of three, but also a severely internet-addicted teenager. His favorite thing to do in battle was livestream.

The whole immortal realm eagerly awaited the arrival of a “superhero alliance” that could slay any god or demon in its path. Instead, they discovered that each of the five could rule an era on their own, but together they couldn’t even figure out how to eat hot pot.

Worse, they had to learn to fight as a team, or the demon god would pick them off one by one.

But the real question was: Who would be captain? Who would listen to whom? And who could find the lost Sword Venerable before the strategist fainted?

Apart, each rules their own domain. Together, they’re a heap of mud. But who says a heap of mud can’t smother someone to death?
