Famine in a Chaotic World: I Conquer the Land with Ready-Made Meals

In the third year of the Jinghe reign of the Great Liang dynasty, a thousand miles of land lie barren, and people resort to eating their own children. Wang Xiu survives the chaos with a bag of plastic-wrapped “fish-fragrant shredded pork.” The [Infinite Ready-Made Meal System] in his mind is his greatest advantage. While enemy soldiers gnaw on tree bark and eat clay, Wang Xiu’s refugee army gathers around the fire, slurping self-heating river-snail rice noodles. While the imperial army goes hungry in the freezing wind, the aroma of Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and braised pork drifts from Wang Xiu’s camp. Civil officials mock Wang Xiu for being too common and uncultured. Military officers accuse him of using demonic arts to throw the world into chaos and call him unorthodox. But they don’t understand: in a famine where people devour one another, whoever can put steaming hot food into the people’s hands is the only true ruler under heaven. Watch as Wang Xiu uses the overwhelming advantage of the industrial age to sweep aside all opposition and turn this shattered land into his own domain.
