After the Professor Overheard My Thoughts

Modern city life + sweet romance + older woman/younger man romance + mind reading + teacher-student romance + mutual secret crushes + everyday sweetness. On his twenty-second birthday, Xu Minglang gets drunk and kindly takes a drunken older woman to a hotel. The next morning, he wakes up to find them in the same bed. He’s happily reminiscing, “She’s got such a great figure,” when he realizes the woman is his own older sister’s best friend, and the new professor teaching his class next week, Wen Zhiyu! Then things get even more exciting. In class, Wen Zhiyu puts on a cool, aloof front and pretends they don’t know each other. Xu Minglang is busy thinking, “Professor Wen looks incredible in that pencil skirt,” when the chalk suddenly snaps in her hand. Wen Zhiyu glares at him, ears burning red. She can hear every one of his dirty thoughts! From then on, Xu Minglang’s campus life becomes one big embarrassment. In class, he thinks, “Professor Wen’s lipstick looks so good today,” and she stumbles over her lecture. In private, he wonders, “How can I ask her out?” The next second, he gets a message from his sister: “My friend says she wants to talk to you.” Wen Zhiyu is about to lose her mind, too. This seemingly well-behaved student has all kinds of nonsense running through his head. She tries to keep her distance, but Xu Minglang’s thoughts start changing. His frivolous flirting gives way to clumsy sincerity. While the whole campus ships this “ice-cold professor and devoted student” couple, no one knows the most terrifying secret between them: she can hear him, and he can’t be bothered to hide his thoughts anymore.
