NBA: I'm Really Tanking!

Synopsis (200 words):

In 2007, Zhou Yiming transmigrates into the body of a poor sap who owes New York Knicks owner James Dolan 500 million dollars.

Dolan takes a puff from his cigar and hands him a contract. “Become general manager, tank for five years, get two first overall picks, and the debt is wiped clean.”

Zhou Yiming is ecstatic. Tanking? Anyone could do that with their eyes closed! Just look at this roster: Eddy Curry, Marbury, Zach Randolph. They’re perfect pieces for a first overall pick!

Then reality slaps him hard. He fires the coach, and the team wins seven straight. He trades away a star, and the bench players go on a tear. He blindly picks a huge European bear in the second round, and the guy becomes Rookie of the Year.

On the night they win the NBA Finals, the players toss him into the air. Through a gap in the crowd, Zhou Yiming sees Dolan snap the cigar in his hand.

At that moment, he understands: he may never master the art of tanking in his entire life.

Later, he gets traded to another tanking team.

Dolan chases him to the airport and clings to his suitcase. “Zhou Yiming, if you leave, who’s going to pay back my 500 million? And you think I’ll let you go ruin another team?”
