I Went Home for New Year’s, and My Rival Bragged That I’d Really Won the Prize

After Jiang Chen was fired, he had only two thousand yuan to his name. Then he ran into his rival, Mei Qian, showing off as he drove his BMW back to the village.

Mei Qian: “Jiang Chen, I’m not bragging, but I’m thriving in the Magic City. This BMW is just for getting around, and I’ve got plenty of those Rolexes worth hundreds of thousands in my closet!”

[Ding! Mei Qian has been detected bragging. Congratulations, Host, you’ve received: one fully loaded BMW 7 Series and the complete Rolex Submariner Hulk collection!]

Mei Qian: “See those barren hills? I’m planning to buy them and build a villa. Just a few hundred million, no big deal!”

[Ding! Congratulations, Host, you’ve received: permanent ownership of those barren hills, a design plan for a top-tier estate, and a ten-billion-yuan construction fund!]

And so, on the day they returned to the village,

Mei Qian drove his BMW around handing out cigarettes at the village entrance, while Jiang Chen drove straight past in a Bugatti with his personal butler.

The whole village went wild!

Mei Qian was dumbfounded. “I was just bragging! Why did you take me seriously, Jiang Chen?”

Jiang Chen: “Mr. Mei, please, brag a little more. I still haven’t figured out how to pay for fuel for my private jet!”
