Driving the Entire Court Mad: The Emperor Begs Me to Stop Keeping Records

The court historian Chu Yuan has a pair of eyes that can see straight through the clothes of every official in the Ming court.

As a result, the daily morning audience has become a public shaming of the entire bureaucracy.

“Minister, I’m about to record in the annals that you met with a famous courtesan last night and didn’t pay her.”

“Great General, at your age, you still dress up in women’s clothes and embroider at home? Quite a unique hobby. I’ve recorded it faithfully.”

“Grand Secretary, that ledger of treason under your bed...”

“Stop reading! Grandfather Chu, please stop! I’ll give you all the money I’ve embezzled, I swear!”

While others rely on their wits to navigate court intrigue after transmigrating, Chu Yuan gets ahead by digging up dirt, turning the entire court of high-ranking officials into his personal workforce.

Until one day, Chu Yuan turns his gaze to the dignified emperor on the dragon throne.

The emperor’s legs buckle. “My dear subject, I’ll abdicate! I’ll hand you the throne this instant, just don’t write the scandal about how I seized power unlawfully into the history books! I’m begging you!”
