Showdown on Mount Fuji

Spring 2026, on the Yunnan-Myanmar border. Gu Ruoling and Liu Changbei are a married couple with a special ability to identify jade. They make a living gambling on jade in Jiekao Jade City with their young son, until their peaceful life is disrupted by a five-colored fruit stone from the mysterious village of Yunwu Mountain. Gu Ruoling’s father, Fu Tinghe, once known as “Half-Eyed Fu,” gained stable X-ray vision after eating the fruit. While in northern Myanmar, he hears rumors that the “Jade Soul” has appeared. It is the essence of jade, taking ten thousand years to form. It possesses spiritual energy, can stabilize a nation’s fortunes, and can also enhance supernatural abilities. Meanwhile, the Japanese secret organization the Arcane Society, led by its agent Matsushita Jiro and “Jade Listener” Kobayashi Ichiro, has joined forces with local crime boss Liu and northern Myanmar warlord Wu Tianliang. They are searching for the Jade Soul at any cost, hoping to use it to establish a secret formation that will reverse the nation’s fortunes. The Gu family is drawn into the vortex because they possess supernatural abilities and witnessed the Yunwu Mountain Incident five years ago. To stop the national treasure from being smuggled abroad, and to rescue dozens of children abducted as sacrificial victims in an evil blood ritual, Gu Ruoling and her husband join forces with Fu Tinghe and Jianghu eccentric Zhan Fei, who also possesses supernatural arts and abides by his family’s ancestral rule of “giving away one’s wealth every ten days.” With support from retired officials, upright customs officers, and others, they pursue two fronts at once: outsmarting customs officials to intercept the smuggled Jade Soul, and braving danger to investigate the demonic “Sakura Club” under cover of night. A covert battle centered on an ancient jade soul, entangled with supernatural powers and human nature, quietly erupts across the Yunnan-Myanmar border. They face not only ruthless enemies and bizarre arts, but also the ultimate questions of where their abilities come from and what their family legacy demands of them.
