My Sequence Can Counter All Things: A Good-for-Nothing F-Ranker from the Start, Until I Hear the Whisper of the Gods

In the Year of the Sky-Splitting Era, Blue Star’s firmament shatters, and Lovecraftian beasts descend, bringing “rule pollution” with them. Amid blood and fire, humanity awakens “ability sequences,” ranging from F to SSS, and builds an entirely new martial order.

Xiao Yuntian, a senior high school student in Jiangcheng, is tested on Awakening Day and found to be “F-Rank · Attribute-less,” the textbook definition of a good-for-nothing.

No one knows that another line of text is hidden on his sequence panel:

Sequence: 0 · Chaos (Unique)

Trait: Rule Devouring (Can devour the rules, sequence essences, and sources of pollution of all alien beasts)

Warning: Each act of devouring requires enduring the corresponding “Lovecraftian corruption by divinity.” If SAN reaches zero, the user will degenerate into a monster.

That night, an S-rank contamination event engulfs Jiangcheng, plunging tens of thousands into a state of mental derangement. In a vision, Xiao Yuntian sees the truth behind his parents’ disappearance ten years ago: they didn’t die at the hands of alien beasts. They were dragged by an “unnameable being” into the rift between reality and the void.

“Want to save them? Devour me, or become me.”

While everyone else fights to climb the sequence ranks, Xiao Yuntian wields the only power capable of resisting rule pollution and sets out on a mad path of “fighting poison with poison.” But every time he tears a monster apart, he must contend with the new “divine whisper” echoing in his mind. Lose once, and humanity will have one less savior and one more destroyer god.
