Autumn Wind Knows Not: The Years We Shared

(Campus romance + secret crush + period setting + pastoral life + countryside + BE) Adapted from a true story. “I wish the autumn wind knew my heart's desire, and could dispel the ache in my heart. But how could the autumn wind know? How could it ease this longing?” What kind of person was he, to make her remember him so fondly? He was the first person she truly loved, when she was just discovering romance, and the bravest yet most regretful chapter of her youth. She couldn't let go of him because he had left an indelible mark on her heart, a ray of light in her dim youth. Because of him, her youth took on a shape she could hold onto. No one in her memories could compare to him, and not even the man he is today could take his place. It wasn't his looks she loved, but the unique feeling he gave her, something no one else could. She couldn't quite explain what was so good about him, but she simply couldn't forget. In the end, she wasn't truly unable to forget him, but the beautiful time they could never get back. Wasn't that right?
