The Little Dumpling Draws His Sword: Touch My Head Again and I’ll Blow Up Your Alchemy Furnace

In the spiritual spring behind the Lingxi Sect, a newly hatched little dumpling named A Yuan stood with baby fat still clinging to her, gripping a rusty iron sword taller than she was. She glared at the elders who had come to watch. “Touch my head again and I-I’ll blow up your alchemy furnace!”

No one knew the soft, squishy little thing was an ancient species, and no one knew her threats to “blow up the furnace” were no bluff. One moment she was sweetly asking for spirit fruit in her babyish voice; the next, instinct alone let her send the sect’s treasured furnace flying three zhang away.

To make amends to her master, who was forever left with his hair in disarray after her pranks, A Yuan set off on a journey to “explore the cultivation world,” carrying half a sack of spirit rice on her back. Her goal was to find the legendary treasure that could “make alchemy furnaces behave.”

But she forgot that she still had trouble walking straight, that flying on a sword could leave her dangling from a cloud, and that when she met a demon beast, she would offer it a spirit fruit to “make friends,” scaring it into moving house overnight. She wandered into an auction and mistook the items for candy, then ran eighteen laps around the city to escape her pursuers. She even drooled over the life-bound treasure of a mighty Soul Formation cultivator and nearly got killed for coveting a divine weapon...

Along the way, she picked up a spirit pet named Coal Ball, whose fur she kept plucking bare; took in an arrogant sword cultivator who kept trying to spirit her home as his disciple; and accidentally became the “Alchemy Furnace Killer” hunted by the entire cultivation world.

A Yuan sniffled and raised her rusty iron sword. “D-don’t laugh! Once I find the treasure, I’ll make all your furnaces warm my feet!”

and then every alchemy furnace in the cultivation world began to tremble.
