The Rules of Romance in the Cubicles

In the steel-and-concrete cubicles, KPIs hang over everyone like a sword, conference rooms are battlefields without gunfire, and love is the unexpected variable.

On her first day at the company, new planning department hire Su Wan gets off on the wrong foot with the cold-faced director Lu Chengyu after a “coffee spill incident.” He's the “data machine” the whole company fears, while she's an unorthodox free spirit who believes inspiration matters more than anything. From clashing over proposals to unexpectedly working side by side late at night; from rivals constantly trying to trip each other up to partners quietly leaving a light on for one another.

When workplace rules meet the first stirrings of romance, and the boundaries between boss and subordinate begin to blur, they hide their tentative advances in the margins of performance reviews and read each other's eyes in elevator silence. In the tiny space of their cubicles lies a very real struggle: should they cling to the safety of the “office romance taboo,” or break the rules and pursue a love they know comes with risks?
