Wen Ruan, My Very Own Moonlight

Five years ago, Wen Ruan clutched Lu Jingchen’s check and stood outside the Lu Group building all night. With her grandmother’s critical condition and her mother’s threats and manipulation, she hid her letter of explanation in tears and vanished without a trace.

Five years later, she returned with her head held high, a genius designer whose “Moonfall” collection had taken the jewelry world by storm. She was no longer the fallen heiress of the Wen family, there for anyone to manipulate.

When they met again, Lu Jingchen blocked the door of her studio. His dark eyes bloodshot, he pulled her fiercely into his arms. “Wen Ruan, if you dared leave for five years, then you can bear my lifelong obsession with you.”

When Jiang Yan plagiarized her designs and tried to frame her, he produced the evidence in public and ruined her reputation. When Wen Ruan’s mother teamed up with her enemies to cause trouble, he bought out their debts, leaving them no chance to recover. And when disaster struck on their wedding day, he shielded Wen Ruan behind him, his presence intimidating. “Who dares lay a hand on my wife?”

Later, Wen Ruan gazed at the matching silver double-moon ornaments on her wrist and his, her fingertips trembling.

Lu Jingchen bent down to kiss away the glimmer in the corner of her eye. His voice was tender yet possessive. “Others chase starlight. I only want you, my moonlight, and you belong only to me, year after year.”

From selling portraits at a night market to taking the helm at Jincheng Jewelry; from the regret of five lost years to a lifetime of happiness together.

On the day the queen of jewelry reached the top, he held out a ring and smiled. “Designer Wen, for the rest of your life, you’re only allowed to design me.”
