Night Rain in the Capital and Hong Kong: Mr. Wen's Beloved Sunshine

[Two male leads + powerful families in Beijing + feel-good entertainment-industry story + rekindled love + intense push and pull]

Wen Yubo, the young master of Beijing's Wen family, is cool and aloof, noble and refined, with power enough to move heaven and earth. He is an influential figure at the very top of society, respected and feared by everyone in the circle.

He has always kept people at arm's length, until one rainy night, when he picked up Xiao Zhan, a young star who had been blacklisted, from a corner of the glamorous social scene.

Xiao Zhan has a face that could ruin kingdoms, but he is proud and unyielding, running himself ragged in this cesspool of an industry.

Everyone thinks Mr. Wen is merely acting on a whim, keeping a pretty little plaything.

But no one knows that the man who held an umbrella over Xiao Zhan in the pouring rain and sheltered him from every storm had already fallen for him.

Wen Yubo makes his moves step by step. “Xiao Zhan, stay by my side. I promise you a lifetime of glory.”

Xiao Zhan thinks he has found salvation, only to discover in the end that it was a gentle trap.

Two years later, they meet again at the top of their respective fields.

One is a top-tier star, a double Golden Rooster Award-winning Best Actor; the other is the all-powerful head of the Wen family.

Backstage at the awards ceremony, Wen Yubo, eyes red, pins him against the wall and says hoarsely:

“Teacher Xiao, this time, no contracts. Let's just fall in love, all right?”

A cool, calculating Beijing powerbroker X a resilient, clear-eyed top-tier star and Best Actor: a long-planned, heartfelt seduction.
